Aurora Pink Glass Pouch Vase
The Collection: The Permanent Collection is a group of vases with eight color options that are permanently available in my store as made-to-order pieces.
The Piece: This vase can be used with or without flowers, either being a decorative accent to a bouquet or a stand alone statement piece in your home!
The Color: The glass color used for this piece is Reichenbach “Aurora Extra Light,” a transparent, bubblegum pink. You will be able to see flower stems through this color.
The Size: Each pouch vase that I make is an experiment and comes out unique, but all pouches are between 11” and 14” tall. I place rubber cabinet bumpers on the bottom so there is no fear of wobbling, slipping, or scratching a surface. If you are interested in a pouch outside of these measurements, please contact me through my commission page.
How it’s Made: I begin with a color overlay, which is dropping melted colored glass onto a glass bubble. I blow this into a large glass bubble, which I purposefully overheat and collapse to create the fabric folds at the bottom of the piece. Then I flip the piece so I can pull out the glass at the top. They then cool down in the annealer and are sent to you!
