Hello, 

I’m Jess—a multimedia artist based in Columbus, Ohio. I have a BFA in ceramics from The Ohio State University and now own and run Jess Port Art LLC. I work mainly in ceramics and glass, but often stray to other media for specific projects.

I see art as communication - a way to tell stories, share emotions and identity, and appreciate life. A lot of what I make is rooted in the idea that the little things do matter—and that even the weird, uncomfortable parts of life deserve attention. I like turning those hard-to-pin-down feelings into pieces that are playful, curious, or just interesting to look at.

My hope is that my pieces make people think - that they invite someone to slow down, ask questions, or look at something from a new angle than before.
